Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has revealed that Henrikh Mkhitaryan is now fit and has been training well with the first team.

The 27-year-old has been sidelined for United since making his only  start for the Reds during their Manchester Derby at Old Trafford, and before that coming on as a substitute against Leicester City, Bournemouth, Southampton and Hull City.

Mourinho onfirmed that Mkhitaryan has recovered from his injury but will not be rushed back into action until he is ready to take the field again.

‘He was injured and he was injured for quite a long time. Now, he’s not injured anymore,’ Mourinho told the Manchester United website.

‘He’s training with the team without any limitation. I cannot confirm if he’s [ready] for tomorrow or not, but he’s fit and it’s now time for him to go back to the levels we know that he can achieve.’

Manchester United will now welcome Fenerbahce to Old Trafford when the two sides meet in the Europa League on Thursday.

Kick-off has been set for 21:05.
