Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho was pleased with his side’s impressive 3-1 victory over Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium on Sunday.
The 53-year-old watched the Red Devils’ victory over the Swans from the stands due to his suspension.
The Portuguese tactician says he was pleased and believes United were always in control of the match.
‘I’m really pleased. I think for all of us from the United side, it was a calm day from the first minute,’ Mourinho told the Manchester United website.
‘We all felt that we were in the game and that we were stable and in control and the players were really good in their focus, their effort and their concentration in following the game plan. I thought they were really good and I’m really happy for all of them.’
Mourinho praised his side’s positive combination, singling out Carrick, Fellaini and Pogba for their performance.
‘I thought Michael [Carrick] was the stability, Marouane [Fellaini] was the balance, [Paul] Pogba was the freedom, and all of them together meant the performance was very positive for us,’ he added.
Manchester United will next welcome Arsenal to Old Trafford in the Premier League on 19 November.
Kick-off has been set for 14:30.
