Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi says he was delighted to have kept a clean sheet during his side’s 4-0 thumping of Swansea City in the Premier League on Saturday.
The last time the Gunners kept a clean sheet on the road was in October during their narrow 1-0 victory over Burnley in the Premier League.
The German defender says he was delighted to have kept a clean sheet and he believes his side did everything in their power to keep a hold of their clean sheet.
‘It’s a long time now that we didn’t have a clean sheet, so I’m really happy, I’m really happy about that,’ Mustafi told the Arsenal website.
‘There have been a few games where we are leading 2-0, 3-0… and suddenly a free-kick or a penalty in the last minute just destroys the work that we’ve done. So we had to make sure that it’s not happening today.
Arsenal will now welcome Burnley to the Emirates Stadium when the two side’s clash in the Premier League on Sunday.
Kick-off has been scheduled for 16:15.
