Orlando Pirates co-coach Mandla Ncikazi says it's positive for South African football that local sides do well in continental competitions, adding he is hoping for an AmaZulu vs Mamelodi Sundowns Champions League final and for his side to win the Confederation Cup.

Fifa and Uefa hand down bans to Russia

Russia has been expelled from the World Cup after being suspended from all international competitions "until further notice", Fifa and Uefa announced in a joint statement on Monday, while European football's governing body also ended its partnership with Russian energy giant Gazprom.
