Raheem Sterling produced the goods as Manchester City did enough to down West Ham at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.

According to SASoccermag.co.za’s Opta-powered match centre, the former Liverpool winger scored two goals and created two chances during an impressive display against the Hammers.

Sterling gave his side the lead and scored in injury time to confirm his status as a starter in Pep Guardiola’s City side after enduring a difficult time under Manuel Pellegrini last season.

Sterling completed 33 passes, misplacing just six as City held off the Hammers to keep their place at the top of the table.

The England international was dangerous throughout and will look to make a push towards starting for his country after leading his side to three valuable league points on Sunday.
