Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that Lucas Perez is back in the squad ahead of their EFL Cup quarter-final against Southampton on Wednesday.
The striker picked up an ankle injury during the Gunners fourth-round victory over Reading but the striker is back in the squad for their next game in the competition.
The 67-year-old manager has confirmed that Olivier Giroud will misses out on their next encounter with a slight groin problem, while Mathieu Debuchy has been sidelined with a hamstring injury.
‘Mathieu has a scan today [Tuesday] but we don’t have the results yet,’ Wenger told the Arsenal website.
‘Lucas is in the squad and will have a mixture of youth and experience but still 90 percent of the first-team squad.’
Arsenal will next welcome Southampton to the Emirates Stadium when the two side’s meet in the quarter-finals of the EFL Cup on Wednesday.
Kick-off has been scheduled for 21:45.
