France and Switzerland went head-to-head atop Euro 2016 Group A on Sunday with Paul Pogba and Moussa Sissoko impressing despite a goalless draw.

According to SASoccermag’s Opta-powered match centre, the sides were neck-in-neck at 50 percent possession apiece at half-time, although Switzerland would exert more control in the second-half as they commanded a 57 percent stake of the ball by the end of the contest.

France created more chances than the Swiss throughout the game, however, as they posted 14 shots compared to their opponent’s six.

Pogba was the star of the first half for Les Blues as he struck the crossbar twice and crusaded through mid field seemingly at will. The player made 70 touches over the course of the game, while he completed 36 of his 45 passes in the contest.

It was Sissoko that stepped up for France during the second period. In addition to making an incredible run that played-in Dimitri Payet (who hit the crossbar), Sissoko completed 28 of his 32 passes and made 53 touches. It was the player’s powerful runs from deep, however, that created the most danger in the second period.
