Manchester United could be without midfielder Paul Pogba for their Premier League encounter against Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium on Sunday.
The 23-year-old limped off the field during his side’s Europa League clash with Fenerbahce after injuring his thigh in a tackle with midfielder Souza.
Meanwhile, with Ander Herrera suspended United could have some problems in midfield, but Mourinho has ruled out a return for Bastian Schweinsteiger, who resumed training with the first-team squad.
‘It’s too early for him. He’s been training with the team for three or four days, he’s not ready to play football at that level yet,’ Mourinho told the Manchester United website.
On a more positive note, Henrikh Mkhitaryan returned to action. The summer signing made his eagerly awaited first appearance since early September, when he came on in the second half against Fenerbahce replacing Marcus Rashford.
Pogba will now join defenders Eric Bailly, Chris Smalling and Antonio Valencia on the sidelines for their upcoming match.
Kick-off has been set for 17:00.
