PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has waved away reports linking the French club to the signing of Real Madrid superstar James Rodriguez.
The 24-year-old Colombian struggled to earn a place in Los Blancos’ starting lineup last term despite having played a starring role in the 2014-15 season.
Things didn’t change when new manager Zinedine Zidane took the reigns, with many feeling the attacking midfielder disrupts the balance of the side.
Al-Khelaifi, however, insisted there had been no talks between his club and the current European Champions.
‘It’s not true at all. We haven’t spoken with him, we haven’t spoken with Real Madrid, we haven’t spoken with anybody,’ he told the media, reports ESPN.
Rodriguez became another of Real Madrid’s megamoney Galacticos when he signed for the club from Monaco following a magnificent 2014 World Cup.
The midfielder made just 26 appearances in La Liga last term, nine of which came from the bench.
