Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri says he is delighted with the fitness of midfielder Danny Drinkwater ahead of their Premier League clash against Chelsea on Saturday.
The 26-year-old was not available for selection for England squad during the international break due to a minor groin injury but returned to training on Thursday.
Ranieri has also confirmed that while Nampalys Mendy is fit, the midfielder is still experiencing pain in his ankle.
‘He is okay,’ Ranieri told the Leicester City website.
‘He made a very good session this morning (Thursday) and I am very happy.
‘He (Mendy) came back and after half an hour he went out again. It’s a little problem on his ankle. He is fit but just has a little twist or tackle and the pain is very strong.’
The Italian manager has confirmed that all of the Foxes’ international players have returned to the club ahead of their clash against Chelsea.
Kick-off has been set for 13:30.
