Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri could not hide his disappointment as his side were beaten at home in the Premier League for the first time in 14 months.
The Foxes proud unbeaten home streak was ended when Matt Phillips earned West Bromwich Albion an unlikely victory at the King Power Stadium on Sunday.
The 65-year-old manager says he is disappointed that his side’s home record in the Premier League was undone by a tough Baggies side.
‘I am very sorry we lost our unbeaten record at home. We knew it would be a tough match against West Bromwich. It was the same last season in the 2-2,’ Ranieri told the Leicester City website.
The Italian manager believes his side needs a rest following their recent busy fixtures playing in both the Premier League and Champions league.
‘I don’t know if they need rest but 80 per cent of my players go to international teams. They don’t have rest. They travel and when they come back it is two days before the Watford match. We have to work,’ he added.
‘Every match we want to win, to do our best. Today was impossible because West Brom plays in this style. Close together, tough. We tried to surprise them. We surprised them two, three times but we only scored one.’
Leicester City will now take on Watford when the two side’s lock horns in the Premier League on November 19.
The match at the Vicarage Road Stadium kicks off at 17:00.
