Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri has labeled Danny Drinkwater as being one of his most consistent players after the midfielder committed his long-term future to the club.
The 26-year-old has committed his long-term future to the Foxes after agreed to sign a deal that will keep him at the King Power Stadium until 2021.
The England midfielder now joins the likes of Riyad Mahrez, Jamie Vardy, Kasper Schmeichel, Wes Morgan and Andy King, who all committed their futures to the Premier League champions.
The Italian manager has labeled the former Manchester United midfielder as being ‘one of his most consistent players’ after the Foxes Premier League title winning season.
‘Ever since I joined Leicester City, Danny has been one of our most consistent players. He’s a fantastic player and a fantastic man,’ Ranieri told the Leicester City website.
Ranieri insists that Drinkwater remains an important part of the Foxes squad and he hopes that the midfielder can stay with the club for years to come.
‘He’s an important player for us and a very popular player in the dressing room. I want him to stay with us for a very long time,’ he said.
Leicester City will next welcome Swansea City to the King Power Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday.
Kick-off has been set for 16:00.
