Real Madrid defender Dani Carvajal insists Real Madrid will be near faultless this season as they chase their second La Liga title in eight years.
Los Blancos finished runners-up in the Spanish League last season as they finished a point shy of champions Barcelona’s tally of 91 points.
However, following a 100 percent start to the season, Real have maintained am remarkable run of victories that has seen them equal the Catalans’ record of 16 successive La Liga victories, a feat they achieve in the 2010-11 season.
‘It’s a nice record to equal the 16 victories, but we must keep thinking game by game,’ the right-back said, reports Goal.
‘Now we are thinking about three points on Wednesday against Villarreal, but what we are seeing is a reflection of the great work from Zidane and the team.’
Since Zidane took over the reins at Los Blancos the side have dropped just seven points in the league and Carvajal was quick to credit the Frenchman for the side’s remarkable record.
‘He has found the key to making everyone feel important,’ Carvajal added. ‘And keeping the egos apart – that is the basis for success today and I hope it remains so.’
Real Madrid currently lead the standings in La Liga with 12 points out of a possible 12, while Barcelona and Las Palmas complete the top three. with nine points apiece.
