Real Madrid have turned down an offer from Chelsea for the loan of superstar midfielder James Rodriguez, according to a report.
The out of favour James has been consigned to the bench for Los Blancos since the arrival of Zinedine Zidane at the club and Chelsea have now tried to take the star on board, according to the Daily Mirror.
James is eager to stay and fight for his place at the club, while it is believed Real would only contemplate the permanent transfer of the Columbia star.
It is believed Real president Florentino Perez would be willing to part with the star for a fee in the region of £60-million but with no big money offers on the table it appears likely the star is set to remain with the side.
James joined Real in 2014 after starring at the World Cup in Brazil. He made 26 league appearances for Los Blanocs last season, scoring seven times and assisting a further eight.
