Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos will miss out on Germany’s World Cup qualifier against San Marino due to a fractured foot.
The 26-year-old sustained a hairline fracture of the metatarsal bone and could be out for up to three months.
This occurred during Real’s 3-0 victory over Leganes on Sunday and he is unable to train with the first-team squad.
German national team doctor Hans-Wilhelm Mueller-Wohlfahrt has disclosed that Kroos’s injury was confirmed after undergoing a scan in Munich.
The midfielder joins Jerome Boateng on the injury list, who is out with a right groin and knee injury.
