Mohamed Salah, Achraf Hakimi and Victor Osimhen is in line for the African Player of the Year Award, the Confederation of African Football announced.
Salah, who won the award in 2017 and 2018, will be up against PSG defender Achraf Hakimi, who helped Morocco reach the World Cup semi-finals, and Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, who led Napoli to their first Serie A title in 33 years last season with 26 goals.
Salah finished second last year to Senegal striker Sadio Mane, who is no longer with Bayern Munich and has joined Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia.
Asisat Oshoala, Nigeria’s five-time winner, is up for the women’s award, along with South African Thembi Kgatlana and Zambia captain Barbra Banda.
The winners will be announced in Marrakech on December 11th.
