Manchester City right back Bacary Sagna says he is hoping to get back into Pep Guardiola’s starting lineup after he resumed full training with the squad.
The 33-year-old has been sidelined with a hamstring tear which he sustained during France”s victory over Bulgaria in their World Cup qualifying in October.
After returning to training with the rest of the squad Sagna believes he could be ready to play against Crystal Palace on November 19.
‘It was difficult because I wanted to be with them on the pitch but I’m finally back training with the squad,’ Sagna told the Manchester City website.
‘I came back on Friday but obviously, it was too short for me to play the game [against Middlesbrough].
‘That’s the target [to be back for Palace]. I feel good today. I’m trying to get my pace back, I’m trying to get my fitness back and I feel really good. I have another week to get even more ready.’
When the Premier League returns, Manchester City will take on Crystal Palace at the Selhurst Park on November 19.
Kick-off has been set for 17:00
