Schalke wing Leroy Sane has flown to Manchester to complete his transfer to Manchester City with the German club confirming the news.
The young attacking midfielder is one of new manager Pep Guardiola’s top transfer targets and has long been rumoured to be of interest to the side. Now, the player arrived at the club to finalise the terms of the deal.
Schalke allegedly declared an ultimatum for the completion of the deal by Monday as the side are poised to depart for Austria on a pre-season tour. The declaration appears to have sped up the negotiations, as the transfer is now allegedly all but confirmed, reports Goal.
It is now believed Sane will be unveiled as new Manchester City signing in the upcoming week. The 20-year-old made 35 appearances for Schalke last term, scoring eight times.
