Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey says he is delighted to be playing alongside Santi Cazorla again after the midfielder returned to the squad.

The 25-year-old was full of praise for the Spanish and quick to point out that it’s not just 31-year-old’s footballing ability that makes him so special, told the Arsenal website.

‘He’s a very bubbly character, he’s always happy,’ Ramsey said.

‘He’s a joy to be around and on the pitch, you know what he can do. He’s very technically gifted with both feet and he makes the game look easy.’

Speaking on his Euro 2016 experience with Wales, Ramsey admitted that he used the European Championship as an opportunity to showcase his talents ahead of the new season.

‘I really wanted to show what I could do on the big stage in the Euros and I felt like I did that,’ he added.

‘I was just enjoying my football and I think that was evident in the way I was playing. Hopefully, I can continue that now into the season, I’m looking forward to it.’

Arsenal will now play Liverpool in the opening Premier League fixture at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

Kick-off has been set for 17:00.
