Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri has revealed that Kasper Schmeichel and Danny Drinkwater’s fitness will be assessed ahead of their Premier League clash with Stoke City on Saturday.
The Foxes currently sit 14th on the EPL table with 16 points from 16 matches following their slow start to the title defending season.
The Italian manager has revealed that Schmeichel has been training well with the squad and could be in contention for the next match against the Potters.
‘Kasper Schmeichel trained very well today so I’ll check tomorrow,’ Ranieri told the Leicester City website.
‘Kasper is training very well and feels good. Today he made a little game between us. I want to see the reaction tomorrow but the hand is okay.’
Meanwhile, Ranieri confirmed that Drinkwater will also be assessed as he attempts to shake off a knee problem he picked up in their Champions League match against Porto.
‘I’ll also check Drinkwater tomorrow. He has a little problem with his knee from a kick in Porto. He tried to continue then he asked me to change,’ He added.
Leicester City against Stoke City kicks off at 17:00.
