Gareth Southgate has been appointed as the new head coach of the England national team after signing a four-year deal, according to reports.
The 46-year-old stepped up from his role as England U21 manager in September to replace Sam Allardyce, who departed after 67 days in charge of the Three Lions.
Southgate remained unbeaten as interim coach of the Three Lions, picking up two wins and two draws since taking over.
The former Middlesbrough manager has now reportedly signed a contract worth up to £2-million a year to become the fourth permanent manager of the national team in as many years.
Southgate’s first competitive match in charge will be an international friendly against Germany on 22 March.
