Eden Hazard was in sublime form as he spearheaded Belgium’s 4-0 win over Hungary on Sunday.

The Belgium captain was in a class of his own in Toulouse as he scored a beautiful solo goal after setting up Michy Batshuayi for his side’s crucial second goal. Hazard’s cross to the young striker came from nothing after an inspired display from the Chelsea playmaker.

According to SASoccermag’s Opta-powered match centre, Hazard won 14 of his 15 duels as he controlled proceedings and made the difference in the final third.

The Belgian superstar misplaced just five of his 48 passes as he led his side to the tournament’s biggest win; it is also the first time Belgium have advanced to the final eight of a major competition.

Despite having just three shots, Hazard scored from one of his two shots on target as he pulled the strings until he was allowed an early shower by coach Marc Wilmots in the 80th minute.

The Chelsea star’s goal had the pundits in awe after he made beating three defenders look incredibly easy before firing low into Gabor Kiraly’s goals, the Hungarian shot-stopper having no chance in getting a glove on Hazard’s fizzing strike.

Hazard will now come up against Gareth Bale and Wales in the quarter-finals in a battle of two of the world’s very best and most in-form attackers.
