Swansea City has completed the signing of defender Mike van der Hoorn from Ajax Amsterdam for an undisclosed fee.
The 23-year-old has put pen to paper on a three-year contract at the Liberty following a successful medical.
The Dutch defender has arrived just a day after completing the signing of Leroy Fer from Queens Park Rangers.
His arrival bolsters head coach Francesco Guidolin’s centre-back options, which already include captain Ashley Williams, Federico Fernandez and Jordi Amat, reports the Swansea City website.
The former Netherlands U21 started his career professional career with Eredivisie side Utrecht and was named Player of the Year in 2013, before making a move to Ajax.
In his first season at Ajax proved to be successful as he clinched the Eredivisie title, before finishing runners-up in the two seasons that followed.
Since making his professional debut in 2011, the Dutch defender has managed to appear 126 times, scoring 11 goals and picked up five assists playing for the like of Utrecht and Ajax.
On the international front, van der Hoorn was called up by Holland in 2013 but is yet to make his senior international debut.
