Leicester City star Jamie Vardy is set to decide his future, namely whether or not he will sign for Premier League rivals Arsenal, on Monday.

The Foxes striker was spectacular at times last season, scoring 24 goals from 36 appearances as the Foxes claimed the most unlikely of Premier League titles.

The Sheffield-born player, who was playing way down in the third tier of English football just four seasons ago, remarkably broke a Ruud van Nistelrooy record along the way; becoming the first player to score in 11 consecutive Premier League games last term.

Now, it is understood the 29-year-old is keen to resolve his future before he departs as part of the Three Lions squad for Euro 2016 in France, reports the Daily Star.

The Gunners, who have met Vardy’s the buy-out clause of around £20-million, will offer the player a four-year contract; while it is also believed Leicester have made a counter-offer in a bid to keep hold of their inspirational forward.

Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud told Sky Sports on Sunday that he expects Vardy to join the London side, while Arsenal legend Ian Wright is also encouraging the move, believing the striker would fit in well with the Gunners’ style.
