Bafana Bafana striker Lars Veldwijk has completed his long-awaited move to South Korean giants Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors from Sparta Rotterdam in the Netherlands.

The move has been in the works for some time following reports that he was looking for a new club after falling out of favour at Sparta.

The 28-year-old has scored 28 league goals over the past 18 months for the Dutch club to help fire them back into the Eredivisie. However, since promotion he has struggled to force his way into the starting lineup in the first half of the 2019-20 campaign and decided it was time to move on.

The big forward joins the seven-time K-League winners as they are in Spain for preseason ahead of their 2020 season, which gets under way in Jeonju next month.

The club did not disclose the transfer fee paid or length of his contract.
