Highly rated Italian midfielder Marco Verratti has pledged his future to current club Paris Saint-Germain despite interest from Real Madrid.

The 23-year-old has shined for the Ligue 1 champions in recent seasons but has revealed he intends to stay put and help the club lift the Champions League crown.

The midfielder was ruled out of Euro 2016 following a groin injury but that has not deterred the interest from Los Blancos.

‘Yes. The club and I discussed many times. We both have the same goal of winning here,’ Verratti told Le Parisien when asked if he intends remain in Paris.

‘It’s been four years that I have been in Paris. I begin my fifth year. Until we have won the Champions League, I want to stay here. That’s the goal I set myself.’

The midfielder has revealed he sees his club as family.

‘I want to win with this team, because it’s like a family. It’s nice when a big team like Real Madrid is interested in you, but I decided to win with Paris,’ he concluded.

Verratti made 22 appearances for PSG last season.
