Japan and Senegal played out to an entertaining 2-2 draw in their Group H World Cup clash on Sunday evening.
Senegal got off to the perfect start when on 11 minutes an error from Japan’s goalkeeper Eiji Kawashima gifted the Africans the lead. Sadio Mane was the man who profited as the keeper’s poor punch bounced off the Liverpool man and hit the back of the net.

Japan then hit back on the 34th minute when Takashi Inui leveled matters for his side. The winger latched onto a Yuto Nagatomo pass before curling the ball into the bottom corner.

The Blue Samurai may have done most of the threatening in early stages of the second half but it was the Lions of Teranga who grabbed the important second goal when Musa Wague scored with 71 minutes gone.
Japan, however, would not lie down and got a second equaliser through Keisuke Honda 12 minutes before full time.
2-2 the final score as both teams still stand a chance of progressing to the knockout stage.
