Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has announced that Mohamed Elneny is available for selection ahead of their Premier League clash against Hull City on Saturday.
The Gunners currently sit in fourth position on the Premier League table with 47 points and have won 14 of their 24 matches played so far this season.
The 67-year-old manager stated that he is still unsure on the availability of Bellerin as he is yet to be fully assessed by the medical team.
‘We have the question about Hector Bellerin. He’s going for tests and the process every day and we’ll only know tomorrow if he gets the green light from the medical people to practice or not. At the moment he has not practiced,’ Wenger told the Arsenal website.
Wenger continued to say that Elney is back in the squad after returning from international duty with Egypt, where his side finished as runners-up in the African Cup of nations.
‘From last Saturday we have Elneny back available in the squad. Apart from that, he trained yesterday with the team,’ he added.
‘He’s fully focused and as always, a fantastic player with a great mentality. He is disappointed that [Egypt] lost in the final, but we had a quality session yesterday.’
Arsenal will be hoping to return to winning ways when they welcome Hull City to the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.
Kick-off has been scheduled for 14:30.
