Manchester United wing Ashley Young says his side fought hard and showed great team spirit to walk away with a point against Liverpool at Anfield on Monday.
The 31-year-old, who impressed in his wide role for United, made his first start for the club this season under new manager Jose Mourinho.
The England midfielder went on to praised the team’s attitude, declaring that the team showed a real fighting spirits a collect a point against the Reds.
‘We fought until the end and showed great team spirit and, although we are disappointed not to get three points, we are pleased with the way we played,’ Young told the Manchester United website.
‘It was a hard game: we know the threats they possess, we worked and fought until the end to get a positive result and we did that.’
After a positive performance at Anfield to begin a busy week, next up for United is a Europa League clash with Fenerbahce at Old Trafford on Thursday.
