Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has told superstar attacking midfielder James Rodriguez he is free to leave, according to reports.
James has struggled to establish himself in the side since the Frenchman took over the reins at the club, with Toni Kroos and Luka Modric the preferred choices in midfield.
Though the Colombian had insisted he would stay and fight for his place in the side reports are now suggesting the manager has told the star he has no future at the club, reports Marca.
The arrival of young creative midfielder Marco Asensio, as well as the good form of Isco Alarcon, are all further obstacles to James’ place in the team.
James has attracted interest from the likes of Paris Saint-Germain in Ligue, while several Premier League clubs have reportedly also expressed an interest.
The 25-year-old James made 31 appearances for Real Madrid last term, scoring eight and assisting eight apiece. His form, however, dipped markedly from is 2014-15 form in which he hit 14 goals and 15 assists in 38 matches.
