Zlatan to make 'big announcement'

Sweden star Zlatan Ibrahimovic is set to make a ‘big announcement’ on Tuesday, with speculation rife that the star is set to ink a deal with Manchester United.

The 34-year-old striker left Paris Saint-Germain having spent four seasons at the Parc de Princes, and has reportedly been seduced by the prospect of playing under new Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho in the Premier League.

According to reports, United are close to reaching an agreement with the star that would see him arrive at the club on a one-year-contract.

Speaking to the media following Sweden’s crushing 3-0 victory over Wales, a warm-up fixture for Euro 2016, the star revealed:

‘There will be a big announcement on the 7th. It will be this summer’s big bomb,’ reports Swedish television station Fotbollskanalen.

‘It feels good, feels better than good. A lot will happen with this news, so hopefully you’ll all enjoy.’

Although many are anticipating the announcement will concern the player’s future, there remains a possibility Ibrahimovic was referring to news concerning his new clothing line; which is set to launch on the same date.

Ibrahimovic managed 54 goals from 52 appearances for his club this term, while he also contribute with 16 assists as PSG ran-away with the Ligue 1 crown.
