Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Hendrick Ekstein has sealed a move to Azerbaijani side Sabali FC, returning to the country for a second spell.
The 29-year-old signed with Sabah FC in Azerbaijan after leaving Chiefs following the early termination of his contract.
Ekstein seemingly settled in well as he scored three goals and grabbed four assists in 16 appearances for Sabah, but his contract was surprisingly terminated by Sabah in December.
The player was thus not contracted and a free agent. He reportedly caught the eye of Cape Town City FC and Orlando Pirates, but Ekstein confirmed on Tuesday that he had sealed a move back overseas.
The midfielder has now joined Sabali FC and will be looking to regain his early form at Sabali FC.
