Kaizer Chiefs football manager Bobby Motaung have confirmed talks with Bloemfontein Celtic for a loan deal of Siphelele Mthembu are at an advanced stage.
‘The talks with Celtic for the loan deal of Mthembu are at an advanced stage,’ Motaung told Kaizerchiefs.com.
‘We hope to conclude the deal soon.’
Motaung also revealed that Ivorian Olivier Traore has returned to his parent club after an unsuccessful trial while the likes of Venezuelan striker Gustavo Paez, and defenders Pedro Henrique Dias de Amorim from Brazil and Miracle Gabeya from Malawi remain at the club and will be assessed in the next week before a decision is made on their futures.
Lorenzo Gordinho, who recently extended his contract with the Glamour Boys, is back in South Africa. ‘We allowed Lorenzo to go on trial at the Danish outfit Aalborg BK,’ added Motaung.
Gordinho returned on Wednesday and will join the team camp on Thursday.
‘We welcome Lorenzo back. At the moment we have not received communication on the outcome of his trial. He is still contracted to us, so we will look at the offer if it is presented and take it from there.’
‘We will receive a full report from the coach when the team returns from the training camp,’ concluded Motaung.
Motaung also added that the club will keep fans informed of all transfer activity ‘by the end of January’.
