Orlando Pirates have bolstered their squad ahead of the 2017-18 campaign with the signing of 22-year-old striker Christian Obiozor from Enyimba.
The Soweto giants beat off reported competition from Mamelodi Sundowns to make their third acquisition in the transfer window, following the arrivals of Thamsanqa Sangweni and Wayne Sandilands respectively.
Pirates publicised details of the deal via their official twitter account, before releasing a short description of their new signing on the club’s website.

‘Obiozor, who hails from Emene in Nigeria, played for the likes of Kano Pillars and more recently, two-time CAF Champions League winners Enyimba,’ the club’s website read.
‘Standing at 1.9m tall, Obiozor is well-built for his primary role as striker, but is also capable of playing on the flanks.
‘He was part of the Super Eagles team that finished third at the African Nations Championship held in South Africa in 2014.
‘He scored the winning goal in the third-fourth playoff against Zimbabwe in the competition,’ the website read.
Obiozor is expected to compete with the likes of Thamsanqa Gabuza and Tendai Ndoro for a starting berth in Kjell Jonevret’s side.
