Ajax Cape Town assistant coach Mich D’Avray is confident his side can turn their season around after the international break.
The Urban Warriors will be hoping to secure their first victory of the season when they take on Maritzburg United at Cape Town Stadium in the resumed Absa Premiership on 19 November.
The 54-year-old has urged everybody to stand behind Rivaldo Coetzee and the Bafana Bafana squad in their World Cup qualifiers against Senegal at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday.
‘I think for the boys, supporters, directors and everyone associated with the club, we need to be united,’ D’Avray told the Ajax Cape Town website.
‘These are the youngsters, the future of the country and they don’t need criticism at this stage because that will not help anyone.
‘In my view, for them to come back and regain their confidence, they need backing from everyone associated with the club, the supporters and their families for them to collect points.
‘I am confident they can turn the corner, we just need to work together and the results will come,’ he said.
Kick-off has been set for 20:15.
