Ajax Cape Town looks set to sign former Orlando Pirates duo Mark Mayambela and Lebohang Mokoena after accessing them while on trial at the club.

Mayambela and Mokoena are currently free agents after being released by SuperSport United and Mamelodi Sundowns respectively.

The pair have already began training with the Urban Warriors, who could look to sign them before the end of this week, according to KickOff.com.

‘They [Mayambela and Mokoena] are here at Ajax. They are featuring in the friendly game against Cape Town All Stars,’ the source said.

‘If things go well, they could be signed before the end of this week.’

The former Buccaneers duo both came on as second-half substitutes during the Urban Warriors’ friendly.
