Ajax Cape Town have revealed that Leogang Mokoena and Nathan Paulse will be sidelined for some time after picking up injuries at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.
The Urban Warriors suffered their third defeat of the season when they fell to a 2-0 defeat against Kaizer Chiefs in the Absa Premiership on Saturday.
Ajax medical head Jantho Greyling has confirmed that Lebogang Mokoena and Nathan Paulse will spend some time out of action following their respective injuries sustained in the match against Amakhosi.
‘The biggest casualty is Nathan Paulse, who had a mild concussion as well as a fracture to his zygomatic bone, which is his cheekbone on his left side,’ Greyling told the Ajax Cape Town website.
‘He will probably need surgery for that, but we’ll have to confirm after the CT scan.
‘The only other concern is Lebogang Mokoena, he picked up a mild hamstring strain. He will get reassessed to check the severity of the injury.’
Ajax Cape Town will be hoping to turn their season around when they take on SuperSport United in the Telkom Knockout Cup on Saturday.
The match at Lucas Moripe Stadium kicks off at 20:15.
