Amajimbos cruised into the Cosafa Cup semi-finals following a 2-0 victory over Mauritius to maintain their unbeaten streak in the tournament.
The South Africa’s national U17 side have already beaten Seychelles and Namibia and are favourites to beat Malawi in the semi-final on Friday, reports Safa.net.
Both Amajimbos and Zambia are the only two sides to maintain a 100 percent record in the tournament.
South Africa finished the match with 10 men after Mswati Mavuso received a red card, who had earlier put his side ahead a minute before the half-time interval.
Molefi Ntseki’s side continued to press forward and eventually doubled their lead when S’miso Bophela was fouled in the penalty area as Tyreese Pillay to converted from the spot.
Like Zambia, South Africa have yet to concede a goal in the competition and both sides will be favourites to make it through to the final on Sunday.
Amajimbos play Group B runners-up Malawi in the semi-final, while Namibia will take on Zambia in the second semi-final at the Stade St Francois Xavier in Port Louis.
The match kicks off at 13:00.
