Kaizer Chiefs were crowned Macufe Cup champions following their 4-1 triumph over Bloemfontein Celtic at the Free State Stadium on Sunday.
Amakhosi wing Edmore Chirambadare opened the scoring in the first minute of the match when he pounced on a loose ball after the Celtic defence failed to clear a Siphiwe Tshabalala corner.
However, the Glamour Boys soon doubled their lead in the 11th minute courtesy of Tshabalala, who’s fine finish proved too good for Celtic goalkeeper Mtshali to save.
On the stroke of half-time, Chiefs made it 3-0 from the penalty spot after Lucky Baloyi was brought down in the area and striker Bernard Parker made no mistake from the spot-kick.
Celtic looked more threatening in the second half and eventually got on the scoresheet in the 52nd minute of the match.
However, Phunya Sele Sele were dealt a further blow when Amakhosi new signing Keagan Buchanan got on the score sheet to finish up the scoring for the Soweto giants.
