Kaizer Chiefs defender Erick Mathoho faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines after tearing a ligament in his ankle during the Rio Olympics.
The 26-year-old, who is likely to be out for over a month sustained his injury during South Africa’s 1-0 defeat to Denmark in their second Group A match at the Olympics.
‘Injury Update: Erick ‘Tower’ Mathoho tore a ligament in his ankle while playing for South Africa’s Under-23s against Denmark,’ Amakhosi announced on Twitter.
Meanwhile, the Glamour Boys will soon give an injury updates on Siphiwe Tshabalala, Keagan Buchanan and Camaldine Abraw.
