Mamelodi Sundowns have opted to activate an option in defender Wayne Arendse contract keeping him at the club for a further year.
The Brazilians are also considering negotiating a new deal with the 31-year-old, who had his best season at Chloorkop this past campaign since his arrival from Santos four years ago, reports KickOff.
The former Santos defender previously stated his desire to stay at the club after making 38 appearances and netting two goals in all competitions under coach Pitso Mosimane this season.
Since Mosimane’s arrival at Chloorkop, Arendse has improved his performance bringing stability to the Sundowns backline alongside Thabo Nthethe.
