Lennox Bacela could be on his way to becoming a Cape Town City player after being invited for trials at the club.
The 33-year-old became a free agent after being released by AmaTuks at the end of last season.
The former Bucs striker is expected to arrive in Cape Town on Thursday where he hopes to impress Eric Tinkler, having already worked with the coach at the Buccaneers.
According to KickOff.com, a source close to City revealed that the striker has been given two weeks trial to prove his worth.
‘The club is looking for a player who is going to lead their striking force next season,’ the source said.
‘They have invited Bacela to have look at him.’
The striker has scored three goals and created a further three assists from 29 appearances in all competition for AmaTuks last season before the club was relegated to the NFD.
