Bafana Bafana midfielder Sphephelo Sithole has completed his return to the Primera Liga after joining Gil Vicente.

The 25-year-old joins the club from Liga Portugal 2 outfit Tondela on a season-long loan with an option to make the deal permanent.

The KwaZulu-Natal midfielder has experience playing in Portugal, having previously played for the likes of Sporting U19, Vitória FC U23, B SAD U23, B SAD and Tondela.

During his time in Portugal, Sithole has scored two goals and registered four assists in 134 appearances across all competitions.

Gil Vicente has since confirmed that the Bafana Bafana midfielder has completed his move to the club ahead of the 2024-25 season.
