Khama Billiat expects pressure when Mamelodi Sundowns take on Enyimba at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in the Caf Champions League on Wednesday.
Sundowns won their opening game of the competition but remain on zero points following ES Setif’s disqualification for crowd trouble, which caused the fixture to be called off early.
Now, with just three teams battling it out in Group B, Billiat knows home games are crucial for picking up points.
‘I think it is a tough game…playing at home, there is a lot of pressure…we need a result and we have to bring our A-game,’ he told Goal.
‘We need to stay focused, make sure we do the job on the day. There is always pressure, it is good to play with pressure…it gives you something to play for. You don’t have time to relax, you want results.’
The 25-year-old forward believes hard work and tactics will prove crucial as the side chases its first continental crown.
‘We stick to our plan…we want to win as many games as we can. We know at home we always bring our best so we are working hard.
‘We have to be mentally strong, it is no different the way we play in league or continental games. We just have to be soldiers and show that we can go through all these things to win the Champions League.’
Kick-off is set for 19:00.
