New Black Aces owner John Comitis confirmed the news himself with the 22-year-old centre-back set to link up with the Buccaneers before the close of the transfer window, reports The Sowetan.

‘He is going to Pirates,’ Comitis told the newspaper when he was asked for comment on the player’s future.

Black Aces were recently purchased by Comitis, and the club has now confirmed it will relocate to Cape Town.

Mzava made 25 appearances for Aces in all this term, having arrived from Bloemfontein Celtic the previous season. In his 1-year stint at Aces, Mzava managed an assist as well as a goal. As of yet, neither the player nor Pirates have hinted at any details of the deal, suggesting the finer points of the proposed contract are yet to be resolved.

Pirates are also believed to have sealed deals for Baroka striker and NFD top scorer Thabiso Kutumela, as well as Mahlatse Makudubela from Platinum Stars and defender James Okwuosa from Chippa United.

As of yet, however, none of the deals have been officially announced by the club.
