Bloemfontein Celtic have completed the signing of Burkina Faso defender Robert Sankara.

The 31-year-old defender has now put pen to paper on a two-year contract with Phunya Sele Sele.

The former Al-Hilal defender has made a total of 20 appearances and netted one goal for Free State Stars last season, having joined the club in 2012.

Celtic have already added the likes of Mthokozisi Dube, Cheslyn Jampies, Deon Hotto, Atusaye Nyondo, Mpho Maruping, Sibusiso Mxoyana, Tlou Molekwane and Khethokwakhe Masuku to their squad ahead of the new season.
