Mamelodi Sundowns defender Mario Booysen has confirmed that he will return to SuperSport United on loan for the season.

The 27-year-old spent last season on loan at Matsatsantsa scoring once and appearing 20 times for the club, making appearances in both the Absa Premiership and the Nedbank Cup.

Booysen admits that he is pleased to have re-join United on loan and is relishing the opportunity to play for Matsatsantsa again.

‘At least I can look forward to joining SuperSport again,’ Booysen told KickOff.com.

‘I’ve been training with the reserves at Sundowns keeping fit in the meantime. I shall probably hook up with SuperSport tomorrow and I’m really excited that are taking shape again.

‘I’m just happy things have worked out and both parties are happy.’

Over the course of his career, Booysen netted 10 times in 156 appearances playing for the like of Ajax, Maritzburg United, Sundowns, SuperSport and Bloemfontein Celtic.
