Veteran forward Henrico Botes has confirmed his departure from Bidvest Wits after his contract was not renewed by the PSL runners-up.
The Namibian international was not handed a contract extension at the Clever Boys after scoring seven goals from 52 appearances during his two-year stint at the club.
The former Platinum Stars forward has revealed that he will leave Wits as he is already in negotiations with other Absa Premiership clubs.
‘My contract with Wits expired and it was not renewed,’ he told KickOff.com.
‘Right now I am a free agent and there is interest from clubs that I am already in negotiations with. I still want to play in the PSL and that is the reason why I am already in talks with the clubs interested. However, nothing is confirmed just as yet.’
The 36-year-old’s former club Platinum Stars and Absa Premiership newcomers Highlands Park are said to be showing interest in the forward.
