Orlando Pirates have parted ways with midfielder Yasser Mugwera after the player was transfer-listed by the club.
The 22-year-old has struggled to get regular game-time under his belt since joining the club from Uganda Revenue Authority in August 2015.
Mugwera’s agent Dennis Idrissa has confirmed that his client has become a free agent after parting ways with the Buccaneers.
‘Yes, we did receive the clearance from Pirates today (Monday). He is now free to join any team,’ Idrissa told KickOff.com.
‘It was a matter of the foreign space at Pirates. He remains grateful for the opportunity of playing for one of the biggest teams on the continent.’
Mugerwa was one of several Pirates players put on the transfer list including the likes of Lehlohonolo Majoro, Sifiso Myeni, and Roger Majafa.
Majoro completed his move to Cape Town City, while Myeni and Majafa are currently still training with the Sea Robbers development side.
