Cape Town City have announced the signing of defender Tshepo Gumede from Orlando Pirates.
The newest Absa Premiership club has recently shown interest in signing the 25-year-old with the club confirming the news on Tuesday.
‘Cape Town City FC is proud to announce the signing of Bafana star, defender Tshepo Gumede,’ a club statement read.
‘Welcome to City Tshepo!’
The former Platinum Stars defender will be hoping to impress former coach Eric Tinkler after failing to secure a regular place in the Buccaneers starting line-up since his arrival from Stars in 2015.
Last season, Gumede could only manage to feature six times in all competitions for Orlando Pirates.
Tinkler has also confirmed that striker Lennox Bacela will not be joining the Cape outfit.
